Social Media Post Power So,I was scrolling through Facebook yesterday as I usually do when I am bored watching a kid movie with my kids. Hotel Transylvania #100. I stopped dead in my scrolling tracks when I came across this post. YESS! I thought, SO MUCH YES! This is how I have been feeling about my daughter and about my students. They will get there! I think sometimes we get so caught up in trying to compete that we forget that we don't have to. Or we get so caught up in questioning what life will look like for students and children who experience delays that we forget that they are the people they were always meant to be! This post seriously gave me such power. I posted it and shared with my husband. We don't have to think of a disability as an end or a stop i.e. a period. We don't have to think of it as a negative.
